John Cox interview for Wyandotte echo and FRN newsletter
My continuing look at the 2008 Presidential elections. What follows is my interview and thoughts on Presidential contender, John Cox, Republican from Illinois. Mr. Cox is a 30 year veteran CPA and a man who simply lives his values. He is the real thing, what we all hope and pray for in a candidate. His views on: The United Nations: The UN has grown far beyond its original mandate and design, of being a global body for debating disputes between member nations. Dictatorships and other rogue nations should not have seats of power at the UN. To much money is sucked up in daily bureaucracy The Federal Reserve System: The Federal reserve does serve a useful purpose, regulating monetary supply and giving a the nation's people a sense of security during hard economic times. The federal tax system: Change the entire system over to a national sales tax. Do away completely with the federal income tax and the IRS.Individual States and the treasury department would be charged with collecting the national sales tax. Current system only serves to raise money for an entrenched political class. The education system: The education system is controlled by the politicians, which has done nothing but double spending, in real dollars, in the last 30 years. Primary and secondary schools must compete, as our college and universities do, to allow parents more choices for their children. Schools should be accountable at the local and state levels. China: I believe China is a potential long-term great trading partner, as long as tariffs and trade policy are balanced. A growing economic class will demand more social, religious and political freedom. We do need to keep a watchful eye on China's military capacity around the world, but there is no reason why china cannot become a viable and useful trading partner, possibly paving the way for more freedom. Open forum with Mr. Cox: The average citizen is deserving of real change, no longer having to put up with a completely detached political class. Mr. Cox is not interested in a possible Vice Presidential alliance with any candidate, he is in this for the purpose of changing America. As President he would eliminate the departments of energy, commerce, education and downsize the huge staff positions given to every official in the federal government. He would implement policy to secure our borders from illegal immigration and enforce current laws on who employers can hire. Mr. Cox is pro-life and pro-family. They are beliefs he lives everyday, not just offering lip service. While interviewing this man, I got a sense of urgency and true leadership calling. This guy wants to the hard work of actual change. This is a rare quality in any candidate for any office. Here in lies the rub. John Cox running for president faces the same challenge that all âreal candidatesâ like him face, the establishment media. The CNNs and ABCs of the known universe will not engage this gentleman's honest and direct forum. I won't let that happen with his message. The same ink I write for him is the same ink I quill for anyone else. I am putting CNN, ABC and all the other establishment media on notice here and now, Lets have a true election process. Lets have every single candidate's views splashed into the stratosphere of news. The Hillary's and McCain's should not be anointed by the major media, just because they will raise $400 million more than John Cox. Like I've told all Echo readers before, I've followed politics since I was 8 years old. So I'm coming at you honest and with fever pitch, John Cox is the real thing, everyone should spend some time and listen to his message. You will not be disappointed. |
