Statement On Armed Services Committee Chair Carl Levin's Call For Iraqi Parliament To Oust Al MalikiFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tuesday, August 21, 2007 Reacting to today's statement from Carl Levin, chair of the Armed Services Committee, in the Washington Post today calling for the Iraqi Parliament to oust Al Maliki and elect someone who is more of a uniter, GOP presidential candidate John Cox had this to say: "An announcement like this would send oil markets down and ignite American and world economic growth. It would infuse the Iraqis with confidence and hope and would set the stage for peace. That would send a huge message to the Iranian people that they should stop supporting those mullahs and join, rather than threaten, the rest of the world for the sake of their own prosperity." John Cox's Marshall Plan outline is available upon request. If you are interested in having John Cox on as a guest commentator on this issue, please contact Laura Grock at (312) 943-1106.
